This page explains what the app does with your information, in plain words. Questions: roomtobreathe.hello@gmail.com.

The short version: your home map, photos and notes stay on your phone. A photo is only sent away when you ask for small steps, and only to be looked at by the AI. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, and nothing is ever sold.

What stays on your phone

Your home map, your photos, your steps and progress, your notes, what the app remembers about your rooms, and your conversations about steps. They're stored only in the app's private storage on your phone.

If your phone's Android backup is turned on, Android may include this data in your device backup to your own Google account. That backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

What is sent, and when

When you ask for small steps, the app sends: the new photos (made smaller first), the names and types of your rooms, your notes and room memories, and a short history of past steps, so the AI doesn't suggest the same thing twice.

When you talk a step through, the app sends your message, the step, its photo, and what it knows about that room.

This is sent over an encrypted connection to our small server, which passes it to Google's Gemini AI and returns the answer. Our server does not store your photos, notes or messages.

Google processes the request under the Gemini API terms. Because we use Gemini as a paid service, Google does not use your photos or messages to improve its products. Google may keep them for a limited time to detect abuse.

Our server runs on Cloudflare, which, like any network provider, handles your connection (including your IP address) to deliver it.

What our server keeps

Each install of the app creates a random ID. Our server keeps, for that ID, how many times it asked for steps or talked a step through, how many photos were sent, and the AI cost, per day and per month. This is used only to apply the free limits and keep costs in check. It contains no name, email, location, photos or text, and can't be linked to you. These counts are deleted after 13 months.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your phone. No notification service or server is involved.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Pro, Google Play handles the payment. The app sends our server Google Play's code for the purchase, and our server asks Google whether the subscription is active. We keep a scrambled copy of that code and its end date, deleted after 13 months, and Pro usage counts are kept for the subscription instead of the install. We never see your name, email or payment details.

What we never do

No accounts or sign-in. No ads. No analytics or tracking. No selling or sharing of your data with anyone for their own use.

Children

Tidy Leaf is not made for children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect anything from them.

Your choices

You decide which spots to photograph and when to ask the AI. You can delete any photo, note or memory in the app. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, deletes everything on your phone. For anything else, including questions about data the AI service processed, write to us and we'll help.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
